The location of this hotel is great! It's within a 2-3 minute walk from the weekend market. The hotel is in a very touristy area, so there will always be lots of fellow tourists around, as well as Thai and Western restaurants. The staff were always friendly and helpful. There was a very nice lady with a small stall just outside the hotel, running a travel agency. She helped us book a few activities, including a day trip to Chiang Rai to visit three temples, a Thai cooking class, and a visit to the elephant sanctuary, which was super fun! These activities were very well organised as they picked us up and dropped us off for everything. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the AC was greatly appreciated! Breakfast was great, with different types of eggs, bacon, sausages, cereals, fruits, pastries, vegetables, you name it. It was very comprehensive. There are also lots of places within walking distance where you can get a nice massage. We chose the massage place right across the street from the hotel, right next to the motorbike rental business. The masseuses there were very thorough! All in all, my friend and I loved our stay and enjoyed Chiang Mai even more than Bangkok.

The hotel has a great breakfast everyday, with the right amount of variety from day to day to keep it interesting. The restaurant and lounge area downstairs in general was very comfortable and pretty! The pool was a surprisingly great benefit. Small, but comfortable to lounge at and swim in, plus you can order food and drinks from the restaurant to be brought up to the pool! We stayed in their mini-suite and I would highly recommend that over a normal room. More room to lounge and relax and put your things. Their laundry services are great too. Inexpensive, fast, and everything came back in the same condition it left in. Great location too - easy for tour pickups and walking around. Close to the Sunday market.

Lovely little hotel on the edge of Chiang Mai old town, with a retro-vibe, clean, spacious rooms and pleasant helpful staff. Cafe Siam, the hotel restaurant served nice food with very efficient service and drinks at a good price. Breakfast choices were excellent with the 'breakfast buffet' charged at 225 bhat (about £5 per head). We booked an executive king room which had a massive and comfortable bed on 4th floor with a view of the temple spire. Safe provided although small, also hairdryer, robes and slippers. For just 200bhat the hotel will arrange airport transfers. And also there is a very efficient laundry service which costs 100bhat per kilo. Would definitely stay here again if in Chiang Mai

Julia

The location in old town Chiang Mai was ideal! Walking distance to so many markets, temples, and delicious restaurants. Across the street was a fabulous Thai massage place called Nakan Massage (good prices and good service) and down the street a delicious clean restaurant Lookbua. The Cafe Siam restaurant as part of the Le Naview was top notch for any meal - everything we ordered was very tasty. Didn't need to add on the hotel breakfast. Good air condition, nice shower, complimentary water bottles. Go try Coconut Shell Thai Food on Ratchadamneon Road - probably the tastiest in Thailand.

The rooms are spacious and clean with good storage facilities. The pool was a good size so that you could swim and being on the third floor meant less insects in the evening. The room had a secure safe to store valuables and passport. The rooms are cleaned every day. They offer a locked luggage storage facility for your check-in and checkout days. The hotel is in a good spot in the old town and we were able to walk to a variety of places easily from the hotel. It's also on the list used by most tour guides for pickup for trip days.
